Recycle-Cornerstone: A Mobile App for Advanced Recycling in Hong Kong
Recycle-Cornerstone is a dedicated mobile app designed for citizens in Hong Kong who want to actively participate in advanced recycling in their community. Developed by Cornerstone Renewable Energy Limited, this free app aims to build a network of reverse vending machines (RVM) and provide a list of e-vouchers for redemption after recycling.
With Recycle-Cornerstone, users can easily set up and manage their personal accounts to gain rewards by returning empty beverage containers. The app allows users to conveniently locate RVMs and find out which types of recyclable beverage containers are accepted at each location.
One of the key features of Recycle-Cornerstone is the ability to set up a membership account, where users can record their points-to-gift in their recycling efforts. By depositing empty PET1 drinking bottles, aluminium cans, and tetra paks, users can earn points and redeem them for rewards.
